Software Development & Application Management
Software Quality Assurance |
| We have a dedicated QA person and quality assurance testing is a standard part of our software process. We utilize a web based bug tracking system to both record internal bugs from our QA testing and to provide our customers with a means of reporting issues from the production web site. The tracking system provides reports on issues being reported in our bug tracking system. Under a purchased support plan, we maintain an offline mirror of your website on our server for testing purposes while the plan is in effect. |

We are very responsive and you will hear from us on the same day that a request comes in if not in the same hour, with suggestions about how to proceed. The timeline for a bug fix is a function of the bug's severity, scope and urgency as recorded in our online bug tracking system. Should critical bugs arise, these will be addressed on a same day basis. Less critical issues are dealt with on a case by case basis but generally, are addressed within three business days. Bugs are regression tested by QA prior to release on the live site. We provide our clients with access to our online bug tracking system in order to capture and report progress on bug fixes. We offer high speed redundant web hosting services on mirrored IBM xSeries eServers. Our servers are constantly backed up including all files, databases, archives, etc.
We take great pride in our operation and feel we have one of the most mission-critical application environments online today. We pay attention to all forms of redundant server backups, Internet backbone backups, and of course power backups & generators.

| We try to avoid overruns by providing a detailed functional specification in advance of coding. This spec is mutually agreed upon by us and our clients. Assuming that the scope of the project does not change, we can provide a fixed cost bid to develop the features that are agreed on once a specification is complete. Thus, we avoid cost overruns by understanding what we are building up front and sticking to the plan. If, during development, the customer raises additional requirements, we revise our spec and provide updated estimates for the new features. Again, once these are agreed upon, we again commit to a fixed price. [ + top ] |
